After the incredible success of the opening of Sommerro in September 2023, we are now in search of a dynamic Executive Head Chef to lead the hotel’s culinary team.

Due to the promotion of our previous Executive Head Chef to Director of Food and Beverage, we are seeking a new leader to collaborate with head chefs and sous chefs, continuing the journey to deliver Oslo's most exciting food and beverage offerings. This includes Ekspedisjonshallen, an all-day dining outlet featuring a menu of classic brasserie favorites, Tak & Izakaya, our Japanese Nordic concept by Frida Ronge from Tak Stockholm, Kafé Lucy, and finally, To Søstre, an elegant venue serving afternoon tea.


We are looking for an individual who is passionate about food, enjoys taking responsibility, and has a strong understanding of the business, demonstrated by a proven track record in similar positions. We seek a dynamic, warm, and professional leader to play a crucial role in sustaining our success.

Tasks:

  • Personnel responsibility, supporting and coaching Head Chefs and sous chefs (Peakon - Employee satisfaction).
  • Staff planning and scheduling for all food departments in alignment with KPIs (Planday/PMI).
  • Recruitment, employment, onboarding, evaluation, and development of employees.
  • Financial responsibility for the kitchen, including cost controls, inventory control, and gross profit.
  • Quality controls and follow-up on guest satisfaction surveys (Loopon).
  • Evening and weekend work may be expected.

The Executive Head Chef reports to Jonathan Howell, Director of Food and Beverage, and is part of the extended management group. Your immediate team will consist of approximately six managers.
