Gallagher are currently seeking an experienced Claims Executive with a background from the marine sector, and preferably also knowledge of the offshore energy sector.
As a Claims Executive, you will be assisting our clients throughout the whole claims process, from emergency response until settlement.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with clients, insurance providers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claims handling.
- Managing the claims process, including response, handling, registration, notification, and updates. Furthermore, facilitate meetings, negotiate with underwriters and third parties, and collection of the agreed claim.
- Analysing claim data and trends together with underwriters and clients, to identify areas for improvement and implement loss prevention strategies.
- Staying updated on policy conditions, industry regulations, and best practices related to claims management.
- Preparing reports and documentation related to claims for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven track record in claims management within the maritime industry.
- Knowledge of terms and conditions through all classes of insurance in the sector, including the Nordic Marine Insurance Plan and P&I/FD&D Rules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment through excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in numbers and Excel, as well as other IT tools.
- Proficient in English and preferably one of the Scandinavian languages.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred (e.g., business, finance, technical, nautical, economics, law).
