Job Description


Working in the digitalisation unit Nordic Market Access Platform

Energy Management is responsible for energy management of all Statkraft’s own and 3rd party assets and consumers in Europe, delivering production planning and access to physical energy markets. We also deliver weather, hydrology, climate and market analysis across Statkraft.

Digitalisation Energy Management (MED) unit supports the Energy Management (ME) business owners managing the business requirements for the IT systems on behalf of ME, with a professional interface towards IT. Furthermore, the unit supports the commercial energy management process with automation, analysis, structuring and pricing, and by providing an algorithmic trading infrastructure. The unit’s responsibility requires an in-depth understanding of the business processes and system landscape in Statkraft.

The Nordic Market Access Platform team delivers management, development and improvements of systems supporting Nordic Market Access Platform (iMA) for industrial customers, retailers and 3rd party flex assets. iMA Customer Portal is a one-stop shop for our customers in the Nordic market - covering access to physical power markets, demand side flexibility, fixed price contracts, business intelligence & analytics, risk- & contract management. The platform is also offering extensive reports and visualisation of data to external customers and internal stakeholders. iMA is built with the newest technology in the cloud, utilising flexible functionality and integrations with internal and external systems.

We are now looking for a Business Analyst to join our Digitalization Unit, and to be part of our cross functional iMA product team consisting of colleagues from both business and IT. The Business Analyst will work together with external customers and internal stakeholders to define, develop, improve and implement customer-focused products and services.

As Business Analyst in the Nordic Market Access Platform team you’ll:

  • Being the bridge between business and IT, analyse, interpret and document customer requirements in cooperation with the iMA product team.
  • Implementing new products and functionalities by facilitating the process from requirements specifications, solutions design, testing, training and customer implementation.
  • Facilitating customer workshops and meetings.
  • Investigating customer business needs and problems, working with external and internal stakeholders to ensure understanding and appropriate responses.
  • Creating documentation for external and internal customers.
  • Understanding the business processes of a customer, identifying gaps in their requirements, and working with them to develop the user stories for scenarios they may not have considered.
  • Supporting continuous improvement
  • General support to customers and users

Qualifications

The right candidate can see the connection between customer needs and technical opportunities in a digital platform. It is essential to take a holistic view at the same time as having attention on details.

Your background/skills:

  • University degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or engineering
  • Relevant work experience from the energy sector or similar roles in different sectors
  • Strong communication skills and talent for building network and trusted relationships is a necessity
  • Understand a technical solution/system flows as well as business processes in detail
  • Understand the overall software development life cycle and its phases
  • Understanding and experience with agile ways of working
  • Having an organized and structured approach to documenting requirements and solutions
  • Effective oral and written communications skills in English and Norwegian or Swedish
